A MESSAGE OF INCLUSION & SOLIDARITY

In response to recent events, Madrona Chiropractic Studio would like to offer a message of inclusion, solidarity, and healing for our communities. Today, we mourn the losses of our Black community members: George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, Tony McDade, Manny Ellis and so many more Black lives whose names go unspoken, who have been killed through police brutality and racist violence.
We would like to state clearly and unequivocally: Black Lives Matter.
Madrona Chiropractic Studio strives to create a space that is inclusive, where deep holistic healing can occur, where the personhood of each member of our community, both patients and staff, is honored. As a clinic that values holistic healing and wellness, we understand that we cannot heal the deep wounds within this country and our communities, without valuing and supporting black lives. Now is the time for us to come together as a community, now is the time to begin healing those deep wounds. None of us are free until we all are.
As always, we would like to include resources for the mental health and wellness for our patients. Check out the resources below for how to stay healthy and well during these challenging times. For our community members on the frontlines, for those protesting, especially for our black community members: we hope that you take moments to care for yourself and your mental health. Below are some resources for you and for us all to stay well.
We also would like to take this opportunity to invite you to action. Get informed, donate to organizers and bail funds, sign petitions, call your local representatives. Below is a guide of resources that we have compiled (based on Obama.org and other trusted sources) for you all on how to get engaged and stay engaged. And remember: engagement looks different depending on the intersection of our identities, so please be kind to yourselves and engage in the ways that make the most sense for you and your safety and well being.
